Hvar is the
town of a unique cultural and historical heritage but also an important
tourist resort with a centuries-old tradition in tourism. Main
attractions are pleasant climate, a lot of sunshine, natural be-auties,
various accommodation facilities, gastronomic offer, sports and
recreational opportunities, etc. Hvar is frequented both in the summer
and winter months, and its very special climate favo-ured the
development of health tourism. The so-called Hygiene Society was
established in Hvar as early as 1868; the major task of the society was
to take good care of the visitors from abroad. This marked the
beginning of tourist development. The first hotel, Empress Elisabeth,
was opened in 1903.
Hvar has an outstanding historical heritage - the cathedral, the Franciscan monastery, the Hvar theatre and the fortresses which offer a beautiful view on the Pakleni Islands and the island of Vis. Accommodation facilities include hotels, apartments, boarding houses and campsites. Sports and recreational opportunities are excellent - tennis, table tennis, basketball, boccia, bowling, water sports (equipment rented).
Hvar is famous for its very specific climate with a lot of sunshine, very few rainy days and almost no snow at all. As a rule, hotel guests pay only half a price if it is raining for the whole day and nothing at all if it is snowing (which occurs almost never). Hvar is very much appreciated by those who are keen on bathing in the sea, although there are indoor swimming pools with heated seawater. Our beautiful house with 7 apartments and some bedrooms in Tisno is situated directly at the sea with a large terrace (150 m2). Apartments have a wunderful view. It is just outside the lively centre and has enough parking space as well as a free landing for your boat. Two national parks are nearby and well worth visiting. Tisno is a friendly town. Our beautiful house is situated in Zaboric near Sibenik. The apartments "Pralija" are only a 2 minute walk away from the centre of Zaboric and only 30 m from the beach. There are several apartments which can accomodate 21 persons in total. Private parking space. Guests can use the grill in the garden. Zaboric is an excellent starting point for excursions, the cities Zadar, Sibenik, Trogir and Split are only about 1 hour by car away. Appartments "Villa Mornar" are situated in Arbanija on the island of Ciovo, distanced from Trogir only 4 km. We are just 20 m from the sea. In the house there are 6 appartments, that can accept from 2 to 8 persons, in which we can accommodate up to 24 persons. Every appartment has its own balcony and a beautiful seaview. In front of the house there is a parking and a small pebble beach. We own 2 berths (buoys) for boats.
